Glenn Downey, actor, singer,comedian writer and producer was born and raised in Stephenville on the West coast of Newfoundland. He has lived in St. John's for more than twenty years and has been working professionally in the entertainment industry for the past fifteen years. Glenn has performed in Newfoundland, mainland Canada, the U.S.A. and Europe. He is a veteran of Rising Tide Theatre's Annual Revue show and has acted in movies such as The Boys of St. Vincents. He has performed in several television commercials for Cohen's Home Furnishings where he portrays Don Cherry. Glenn has been collaborating with Jim Payne since 1989.


Jim Payne is from Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland and has been a professional performing artist and writer for 19 years. A leading performer and collector of Newfoundland traditional music, Jim has directed, composed and performed music for some of the most popular theatre productions of the past two decades, as well as creating soundtracks for plays, documentaries and videos. He has performed extensively on radio and television in Canada and abroad, and has toured throughout Canada, the US, Europe, Japan and Australia. In his theatrical work Jim has toured with six of Rising Tide Theatre's Annual Revue shows, appeared in many other Rising Tide Theatre productions and was also Musical Director of Cruel Tears for Summer In The Bight Theatre Festival. A 1997 ECMA Roots/Traditional Artist Award nominee, Jim has a string of recording credits to his name including solo recordings, contributions to anthologies of Newfoundland music, support and production work on recordings by other Newfoundland artists. He is also a producer of concerts and special events featuring traditional and contemporary music, song, story and dance that reflect the Newfoundland experience.
