Rum Ragged

Few traditional folk bands have risen as quickly in the ranks as Rum Ragged. Formed by Aaron Collis and Mark Manning in 2015, they draw upon their respective rural upbringings upon the island of Newfoundland, one of the world's richest hubs of folk and traditional music nestled at the easternmost point of North America. Brought together by their shared passion for collecting and arranging the undiscovered traditional songs and tunes of their home, Rum Ragged has since expanded to a four piece with fellow Newfoundlander and multi-instrumentalist Zack Nash, as well as Cape Breton fiddler Colin Grant, to continue making their mark on the great living tradition of Newfoundland folk music. Boasting button accordion, bouzouki, fiddle, bodhran, banjo, and guitar, this East Coast group enlivens and enlightens audiences with their signature brand of Newfoundland folk.
